What is MX?
Mail Records explained
MX is a DNS record type that allows emails coming to email accounts connected to your domain name to be directed to the server where the user is hosted.
There can be more than one MX record. In multiple records, the priority is specified with values such as 10, 20, etc.
For example; when an e-mail is sent to a user, the server belonging to the MX record with a priority of 10 is checked before the MX records belonging to the domain name of the relevant e-mail account. If this server cannot be reached, access to the servers specified with a value of 20 etc. is checked.
Thus, when the email server with a value of 10 does not respond, other servers respond and ensure uninterrupted communication.

MailProvider MX records are defined as mx1.mailprovider.com and mx2.mailprovider.com .
The MX priority value is used to specify which MX server incoming mail should be reached first.
MailProvder's MX priority values are defined as "10" equally for both records. The reason for this is to balance the load on the two servers equally.
Time to Live (TTL) is a value that specifies how long a defined DNS record should be kept in the cache in seconds. The purpose of this value is to ensure that your server does not create additional load from queries coming from other servers.
